Children grieve by using play, creating art, and active movement. We offer a safe, gentle place where feelings are accepted, and children, tweens, and teens can get support from their peers, make friends, and even have fun.

Special Needs & Siblings Support Group

May 6 may 20 june 3 • june 17

This group supports special needs individuals and their siblings. We offer a fun, relaxed, accepting support group and opportunities to socialize, play games, create art, and make new friends. Food is offered 6–6:15.

Siblings of autistic and special needs family members may have feelings that growing up with a special needs brother or sister has its challenges and its joys. Sometimes they may feel that their special needs siblings get a lot of attention or at times disrupt their daily life. It’s complicated. It’s a lot of different emotions. You are not alone. You are feeling emotions others like you feel. We offer a safe, gentle, accepting support group where you can share your experiences and feelings with others like you.

When our four-legged, furry family members leave us and pass over that “rainbow bridge,” our hearts are broken. Our loyal family member who loved us unconditionally, greeted us happily, and brought love and joy into our lives is gone. We offer a support group that will help you navigate this painful loss. We get it. Bring a photo of your dog, cat, hamster… share their story, and don’t grieve alone.

Many families are experiencing “cancel culture,” a new term when a family member ends a relationship. Children refuse contact and communication with a parent or caregiver. Sisters and brothers end their relationships, and families and friendships sometimes end without explanation. The pain is unimaginable. Join us as we support each other, share our trials and glimmers of hope in a safe, nonjudgmental place. Don’t grieve alone.
